Republic Introduces New Advertising Campaign
Ads Highlight Company’s Position as the Leader in the SBQ Industry.
FAIRLAWN, Ohio (Oct. 3, 2007) -- Republic Engineered Products, Inc., North America’s largest producer of special bar quality (SBQ) steel, today announced the introduction of a new advertising campaign.
The campaign kicks off this month with a series of print ads appearing in metal trade publications American Metal Market, and Forging and Forward magazines.
The ads, headlined “Steel-Crazy After All These Years,” “Steel Number One,” and “The Other Guys Steel Don’t Get It,” focus on Republic’s rich tradition in high quality steel bar and coil products. Republic was the first company to manufacture SBQ and the company coined the term special bar quality steel.
“Republic employees are proud of our steelmaking heritage,” said Jaime Vigil, president and CEO. “We make more tons of SBQ bar, coil and cold finish than any other producer in North America. Our experience, expertise and knowledge of SBQ give Republic a competitive edge.
“We’ve invested more than $115 million in our operations over the past three years to enhance our capabilities even further. With our ad campaign, we are reminding our customers, competitors and the entire industry that Republic is still a force to be reckoned with.”
The campaign was developed for Republic by Innis Maggiore, Canton, the nation’s leading agency in the practice of positioning.
Republic Engineered Products, Inc., is North America’s leading supplier of special bar quality (SBQ) steel, a highly engineered product used in axles, drive trains, suspensions, fasteners and other critical components of automobiles, off-highway vehicles and industrial equipment.
