Republic Names Bullock Director of Quality Assurance
FAIRLAWN, Ohio (Feb. 5, 2007) -- Republic Engineered Products, Inc., North America’s largest producer of special bar quality (SBQ) steel, today announced that Robert A. Bullock has been named director of quality assurance.
Bullock will oversee Republic’s efforts to improve quality and enhance consistency in the company’s manufacturing and processing procedures. He previously served as manager of quality assurance at Republic from 2000 through 2002.
“Bob’s knowledge of our products, our processes and our markets will prove invaluable as we strive to achieve the goals and vision we’ve set for this organization,” said Noel J. Huettich, Republic’s vice president of operations.
Bullock has more than 25 years of experience in the steel industry. Besides his previous employment at Republic, Bullock also has held quality management positions at Charter Steel Inc., Copperweld Corp., USS/KOBE Steel Co. and United States Steel Corp.
Bullock earned a bachelor’s degree in materials and metallurgical engineering from Ohio State University in 1981. He is a member and past board member of the AIME Iron & Steel Society (Cleveland Chapter) and the National Association of Professional Engineers
(Cleveland Chapter). He is a member of the American Society of Quality. Several of Bullock’s quality papers also have been published.
