Standard of Dress for Plant Visitors
Safety is of the utmost concern here at Republic. Not only for our employees, but also for those who visit our plants.
Please be advised in advance that skirts, dresses, shorts, high heeled shoes, and open toed shoes are not permitted in the plant. It is recommended that long sleeves be worn as well as steel toed shoes, or work boot-type shoes. Preferably shoes that tie.
Upon your arrival at the plant, you may be provided with a hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, ear protection and a flame retardant jacket. All or part of that equipment will be required depending on what areas of the plant you visit.
Our concern is for your well being. No cameras are permitted.

From Chicago O'Hare Airport (Approx. 75 minutes)
Take I-294 south (several toll booths; change is a must for fast travel) to I-80/294. Go east on I-80/294 into Indiana where it is called the Borman Expressway or I-80/294. Continue east to I-65. Turn north on I-65 and continue about two miles where I-65 ends at Rts. 12/20. At the intersection go straight across Rts. 12/20, across railroad tracks, under viaducts straight ahead on access road to plant entrance.
Alternate Route From Chicago O'Hare Airport (Approx. 60 minutes)
Take I-190 east to I-90/94 and continue to Rt. 90 (Chicago Skyway). Go east on Chicago Skyway to Indiana Toll Road. Go east to Gary-East exit or Rts. 12/20 Dunes Highway exit. Get off this exit and follow the signs to Rts. 12/20 Dunes Highway west. Go to traffic light and turn right and follow access road to the plant.
From Chicago Midway Airport (Approx. 30 minutes)
Take 55th Street (Garfield Blvd.) east to I-90/94 south. Go a short distance to I-90 (Chicago Skyway) and continue east to the Indiana Toll Road. Go east to the Gary-East exit or Rts. 12/20 Dunes Highway exit. Get off at this exit and follow the signs to Rts. 12/20 Dunes Highway west. Go to traffic light and turn right and follow access road to the plant.
From Indianapolis and All Points South of Gary
Take I-65 north until it ends at Rts. 12/20. Go across this intersection and cross the railroad tracks, under the viaduct and continue on access road to the plant. (Approx. 3 hours from Indy.)
From Ohio and Points East (Approx. 5 hours from Cleveland)
Take Ohio Toll Road west to Indiana Toll Road; continue west to Gary-East exit, Dunes Highway, Rts. 12/20 and I-65. Get off this exit and follow the signs to Rts. 12/20 Dunes Highway west. Go to traffic light and turn right and follow access road to the plant.
From Michigan (Approx. 4 hours from Detroit)
Take I-94 west and continue west into Indiana. Go to I-65 and get off north on I-65. Go to the end or intersection of Rts. 12/20 and I-65. Cross Rts. 12/20 and cross the railroad tracks, go under the viaduct and continue on access road to the plant.

Cross the Peace Bridge at Buffalo/Fort Erie. The Queen Elizabeth Way to Hamilton/Toronto.
Follow Queen Elizabeth Way to Hwy. 403 (Brantford/London), and take Hwy. 403
to Hamilton. Exit on York Boulevard. Turn right at the first light (Dundurn
St. N.). Go through the next two lights (King St. and Main St.) and take
the next right after the lights onto Chatham St. The plant is on the

From Hamilton Airport: Out of the airport parking lot, turn right on Airport Rd. Follow Airport
